What is Bad Taste or Odour
Bad Taste and odour can come from a number of things. When talking about mains/municipal water supplies the Water is often treated with Chlorine to kill any nasty bugs. This causes a residual to be left in the water network which Leaves a bad taste and odour. Well water/surface water can Often have a smell of “rotten eggs” in the water. This is naturally occurring sulphur which is in your drinking water which leaves a very bad smell in your house and water.
How it Works
The Activated Carbon filter works by adsorbing the Taste and odour. The very large surface area of the coconut grade carbon allows it to adsorb large amounts of Taste and Odour. Once the carbon has adsorbed as much as it can it becomes saturated and needs replacing.
